Sylvie is the Youth Programs Coordinator at Wilderness Torah, an organization that awakens and celebrates earth-based traditions of Judaism to nourish connections between self, community, and earth. She is committed to creating experiential outdoor education and to making Jewish community accessible for all people. For many summers, she worked at an outdoor adventure camp leading wilderness trips, and facilitating permaculture programming. Sylvie holds two bachelor’s degrees from Barnard College and Jewish Theological Seminary where she studied Environmental History and Bible. When she isn’t hanging out with kids in forests, you can find her building liberated and diaspora-based community, cooking soup, reading memoirs, and biking around Berkeley.
