Miguel Dimas

Nature is rooted deeply in who Miguel is. As a toddler he used to spend time with his dad in their backyard garden planting seeds and pulling weeds. Those were his earliest outdoor experiences. Later, he would become a Park Ranger and lead tours throughout his community of Richmond, CA to connect folks to the outdoors. After he completed his Physics B.S. at the University of California, Santa Cruz he returned to the Bay Area and stayed in the environmental field. Now as the manager of the EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park, his goal is to connect San Franciscans to nature with an emphasis of increasing representation in the environmental field by working with the Bayview Hunters Point Community.
