Jen’s passion for outdoor adventure came to life during a 27-day hike of the John Muir Trail in 2010. Soon after, Jen received a B.A. in Humanities and the Environment from San Francisco State University, where she developed enthusiasm for communicating social issues in ways that are meaningful and inspire collective action. As the current Community Education Programs Manager at Groundwork Richmond, Jen develops and implements programming to youth and community members to learn and lead on environmental justice. From designing curriculum to facilitating workshops, she aims to create spaces that spark curiosity and connection. While not at work, Jen invests in mutual aid and radical organizing efforts at her collective home in Oakland.
