Abigail Alfonso

Having grown up in heavily urbanized San Francisco, Abigail’s love for the outdoors was fostered through exploring the limited green spaces throughout the city. Abigail has worked with Bay Area and Central Valley non-profit organizations in native habitat restoration and environmental education, before earning a degree in Wildlife Conservation Biology from UC Davis. Upon graduating, she began her professional career in academic research studying endangered species in the San Francisco Estuary. Abigail currently works as the programs coordinator at Literacy for Environmental Justice, where she combines her passions in environmental education and environmental justice for disadvantaged communities. In her free time, she enjoys bird watching and fishing throughout the Bay Area.
